Meet the FootHolde Director
Jonathan Schaefer created FootHolde in 2003 with the vision of enhancing the development of Minnesota’s youth soccer players. His philosophy is simple: develop the best players with the best coaches while implementing the most challenging and intense curriculum.
Schaefer has been coaching players at all ages and levels across the state of Minnesota for 10 years. Schaefer is currently the Director of Program and Player Development with the Cottage Grove Soccer Club. He also works as the Assistant Coach with the Augsburg Men's Soccer Program, and the Age group coach of the 92.93 Bangu Girls.
With a master's degree in Exercise Science and Sports Management and experience training elite athletes, Schaefer's background goes well beyond the game of soccer. Schaefer also holds a USSF 'B' License, USSF National Youth License, NSCAA Goalkeeper Diplomas I and II, two High School Coach of the Year awards (2000, 2001), and a professional personal training certification.
